Statistical analysis results are from a mixed-effect repeated measure model with a compound symmetry covariance structure and included treatment group, visit, treatment by visit, stratum, and site as fixed effects, with the baseline value as a continuous covariate. Our data suggest that deflazacort therapy might improve linear growth and lean body mass and prevent excessive bone loss and fat accumulation.
