I've been off Pristiq 3 weeks still having problems if they don’t subside I will file a lawsuit. Things got so bad for me on this drug I neearly completed suicide. Ive heard really back things about this med but im hoping this works for me. I've tried most other SSRIs antidepressants with mixed results.

I did notice a number of positive changes taking Pristiq......Generic "Desvenlafax." 3 main aide effects: headache (mild) 8 hours after taking; nausea (mild) nightmares and vivid dreams. I have no side effects except for increased sweating and delayed orgasm (but I can always orgasm). I told my doctor and she said to stop taking it. I am 31 years old and have been experiencing moderate to severe anxiety my entire life. So I started taking pristiq because I realized that I should finally seek help thanks to my constant suicidal thoughts.

I tappered off effexor for 2months while introducing Wellbutrin. “Pristiq has benefits, BUT, be aware of serious long term use side effects. “I almost lost my life because of this drug and Effexor. Don’t suffer.

Recently insurance would only cover generic BUT THE GENERIC IS NOT THE SAME...........regardless of what you may read on internet or what people/doctors may tell you......THE GENERIC IS NOT THE SAME.......I tried two different manufactures (West-Ward and Actavis) and both had horrible side effects.......it did just the opposite of what the name brand drug did for me.........The generic caused me to feel totally fatigued, gave me a negative attitude, I hurt all over (muscles and joints) as if this crap was poisoning me. I was almost paranoid about it and almost checked myself in, fortunately I was opened to the idea that the medication that was supposed to help me was hurting my mental state. At first, the side effects were headaches and drowsiness. Pristiq is a lifesaver but some side effects that remain after 7 years of taking it. I hope the good effects continue. My energy is good, I laugh way more now, I am able to recognize and replace old negative thoughts with more positive ones.
This feeling happened on and off all day, bit I was able to participate in my normal activities.
I went back to pristiq 75mg and after one week feel much better. I have been on it for 3 weeks, the first few days I was extremely dizzy and tired.

The last 15 years a combo of wellbutrin, zoloft and topiramate.
